Teenage Flicks

My first solo exhibition of works, inspired by the films and TV that have inspired me over the many years of Grey Earling.

Exhibition Dates: 6 June – 26 July 2026

A man with a beard and short hair wearing glasses that have 'Teenage' written in the left lens and 'Flicks' in the right lens, both in colorful hand-drawn style, standing in a bookstore.

Featuring chest-bursting aliens, dysfunctional families and ten-pin ball–wielding slackers, the exhibition offers a vivid and playful exploration of film culture through illustration.

“It’s been a real joy to revisit the films and TV shows I’ve loved over the years and, hopefully, add something new to them through this collection. It’s also been a chance to reflect on the styles, themes and genres that have shaped my work, and to celebrate the characters and stories that have stayed with me.”

Developed in collaboration with Made in Stirling, the exhibition aims to engage local audiences and visitors alike.

“I’m a big fan of the creative programme at Made in Stirling and the work they do to enrich the city’s cultural landscape. Alongside the exhibition, we’re putting together a series of film screenings and talks running into the summer holidays, creating something film fans of all ages can enjoy together.”

With original drawings, prints and 3D pieces on display, Teenage Flicks invites audiences to revisit the films that shaped them and discover the stories that inspired my illustrated works.
